Learning to Play

I'm curious about you all. Whatb instruments have you learned and played in the past? Do you play now or are you learning? Anything you would seriously consider?

I myself want to take up a classic, if not cliche instrument (say something in the violin family or a piano) though I also very much want to learn other stringed instruments like the mandolin or even a banjo.

When I was younger, I was in a brass instrument class and played a trombone, though had no great love for it.
